Suryakumar Yadav underwent Sports Hernia (Lower-Right Abdomen) surgery in Munich, Germany in June 2025. He then completed his rehab program at the Center of Excellence (COE) in Bangalore and has now been declared fully fit. After the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season was over, he also went to the United Kingdom to consult the expert.

He posted on social media after surgery and wrote- ‘Life update: Sports hernia surgery was done in the lower stomach. Surgery remained smooth and I am on the path of recovery. It is expected to return to the field soon.

Second top run scorer in IPL 2025 Suryakumar Yadav performed brilliantly for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025. He scored 717 runs in the season and became the second batsman after Sachin Tendulkar, who scored more than 600 runs for Mumbai Indians. He was the second highest run -scorer throughout the tournament, only Sai Sudarshan (759 runs) of Gujarat Titans.

India’s first match with UAE India, Pakistan, Oman and UAE are placed in the same group. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are in Group B. All teams in the group will play 1–1 matches against each other. India will clash with UAE on 10 September, Pakistan on 14 and Oman on 19.

If India and Pakistan made it to the Super-4 stage, then both teams will again face face to face on September 21. The final of the tournament will be played on 28 September. If India and Pakistan topped the Super-4 stage, there may also be a third match between the two in the tournament.
