Indian cricket team star cricketer Shreyas Iyer recently spoke about his injury in an interview to GQ India. He said, when he had a spine surgery, one of his legs was paralyzed.
Iyer underwent spine surgery in 2023 in 2023 in 2023. Because of this, he could not join the IPL 2023 season also. Due to this injury, Iyer stayed away from the field for a long time and he did not land in domestic cricket, due to which his central contract from BCCI also ended. However, he has found back a place in this year’s contract.
Iyer said on his injury, ‘No one can understand what pain I have gone through. I was completely paralyzed with one leg. This was due to spine injury. That pain was very terrible.
Iyer further said, ‘You can also work by putting a rod in the back, but the problem with me was that the vein was broken which is really dangerous. The pain was very terrible that was reaching my little toe. it was very scary.’
Iyer made international debut in November 2017
Middle-order batter Iyer’s international debut was held in November 2017 against New Zealand. After this, he also made his place in ODI and Test cricket. He scored 2845 runs in 70 ODIs. This includes 5 centuries and 22 half -centuries. Scored 1104 runs in 51 matches in T20. He scored 811 runs in 14 matches in Test cricket, including 1 century and 5 half -centuries.
Iyer will captain India-A Indian batter Shreyas Iyer has been made the captain of India-A team for two unofficial Test matches against Australia-A. The first match will be from 16 to 19 September and the second from 23 to 26 September. KL Rahul and Mohammad Siraj will join the team in the second four -day match. Both four -day matches will be played at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
Not included in Asia Cup Iyer has not been included in the Indian team for the Asia Cup being played in UAE. Shreyas was recently playing from West Zone in the semi -finals of the Dalip Trophy, which ended in Bengaluru.
