What is the dispute about what
On 14 September, Pakistan faced Team India. Indian players did not join hands with Pakistani players after this match. At the time of the toss, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav did not join hands with Pakistani captain Salman Ali Aga. After this, Pakistan lodged a complaint of the Indian team in front of the match referee Andy Paiyoft.
If Payakroft did not take any action, then the Pakistan Cricket Board had demanded the ICC to exclude the match referee. The ICC rejected this demand. Some media reports claimed that Pakistan would withdraw from the Asia Cup if the Picroft is not removed.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) alleged that the referee had asked the two captains not to join hands after the toss and it was done under pressure from the Indian team.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi said on Monday- ‘PCB has demanded to exclude Pychroft immediately. He did not follow the ICC Code of Conduct and Cricket Spirit.

After the match on 14 September, Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav had said on the handshake controversy- some things are above the sportsmanship. On April 22, 26 Indians were murdered by pro -Pakistan terrorists in Pahalgam, Kashmir by asking religion. After this, India had destroyed the terrorist bases present in Pakistan by running Operation Sindoor. At the same time nine airbases of Pakistan were also blown up.
It is not necessary to get hands
It is not written in any rule book of cricket that it is necessary to handhek after the match. Hand shaking is not a rule, but it is considered part of the game spirit. This is the reason that after almost every match, the players of both teams meet each other and shake hands.
A BCCI official said, ‘Nothing has been written in the rules that you have to join hands with the opposing team. The Indian team is not obliged to join hands with a country that will make the relationship so bad.
