Sumit Nangal of Jhajjar district of Haryana has won a stunning victory in the World Group Davis Cup in Lawn Tennis. India got this big success after a long wait of 32 years. Switzerland was defeated by Sumit Nangal of India 3–2 in a tough match.

Sumit Nangal of Jaitpur village has set a new record by defeating Switzerland team on foreign soil. After 32 years, Sumit waved the country globally after defeating an European team and illuminated the name of India. Earlier, India defeated France in 1993.

District Sports Officer congratulated
District Sports Officer Satyendra Kumar congratulated Sumit Nangal on this historic victory. He said that the son of Jhajjar district has raised the value of the whole of India. He also said that there is no coach for lawn tennis in the district and players often train from outside.
Satyendra Kumar said that this victory of Sumit will also boost the morale of other players of the country and India will touch new heights in lawn tennis.
