Narnaund MLA Jassi Petwad arrived to mourn the death of Bajrang Poonia’s father.

Balwan Poonia, father of Haryana’s Olympian Wrestler and Bajrang Poonia, Executive President of All India Farmers Congress, has passed away. He died on Thursday, after which he was cremated in his native Khudan village on Friday.

Today, on Sunday, Congress MLA Jassi Petwad from Narnaund light in Hisar district arrived in Khuddan village of Jhajjar district to mourn the death of Bajrang Poonia’s father. Jassi Petwad reached Bajrang Poonia’s house and tied them up. He paid tribute to Bajrang Poonia’s father Balwan Poonia.

Bajrang Poonia’s father had been ill for a long time and was hospitalized for 18 days before his death. He was undergoing treatment at Gangaram Hospital in Delhi. His elder son Harendra Poonia had said that both his father’s lungs were damaged. Due to which he died during treatment.

At the same time, after the death of his father, Olympian Bajrang Poonia confirmed the death of his father Balwan Poonia by posting a post on the social media account.

On the death of the father, Bajrang Poonia wrote- Bapuji did not stay with us. He had taken us to reach here with great hard work. He was the backbone of our entire family. Do not understand what life would be without them.

Bajrang’s father Balwan Poonia was born on 22 July 1954. He was the eldest of 4 brothers. He is followed by Jagbir, Ranbir and the youngest Dalbir. Ranbir Poonia has already passed away, while Dalbir is currently working in the Railway Police.

If he could not do wrestling himself, son Bajrang made Olympian Bajrang Poonia’s father Balwan Poonia also used to do wrestling. However, he could not fulfill his dream due to bad economic conditions. He then decided to make Bajrang a wrestler. From the age of 7, Bajrang started practicing Pahlavani. He himself started teaching Bajrang’s tricks to Bajrang from childhood. He wished that the son became a well -known wrestler of the country, which Bajrang reached the Olympics and made it come true.
