Indian boxer Meenakshi Hooda has entered the semi -finals of the ongoing World Boxing Championship in Liverpool. With this, India’s fourth medal in this championship was confirmed.
On Friday, Meenakshi defeated England’s Allice Pamphre 5–0 in the quarter-final match of 48 KG weight category. While on the backfoot, he took advantage of his long hands and made direct punches to the opponent.
With this victory, Meenakshi has at least confirmed bronze. Before Meenakshi, Jasmine Lamoria (57 kg), Nupur Sheoran (+80 kg) and Pooja Rani (80 kg) have entered the semi-finals of their weight category.
Meenakshi defeated the England boxer 5–0.
Mongolian boxer will compete with Mongolian boxer in semi -finals
Meenakshi will face Mongolian boxer Latsaikhan in the 48 KG semi -finals. The match will be played from 4:45 pm. Lutsaikhan has won the Youth World Championship twice.

Jadumani lost 4-0 in Top-8 match
Indian boxer Jadumani suffered a unilateral defeat in the quarter -final match at the 50k Vet category. He was defeated 4–0 by the Sanjhar Tashkenbe of Kazakhstan.
