Varun Aaron’s international career did not run long due to injuries.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has made Varun Aaron its new bowling coach for the IPL 2026 season. He will replace former New Zealand fast bowler James Franklin.
SRH wrote on his social media account x, an aggressive bowler is welcome to our coaching staff. Varun Aaron will be the new bowling coach of SRH.

Play 9 Tests and 9 ODIs for India
Varun Aaron played 9 Tests and 9 ODIs for India between 2011 and 2015. His last match was his last match against Goa in Jaipur on 5 January this year. Jharkhand’s team could not reach the knockout and after that Aaron said goodbye to his cricket career.

Varun Aaron played the last match against South Africa on 14 November.
Bowling of 150 kmph speed recognized
35 -year -old Aaron made a brilliant start as a fast bowler and bowled at a speed above 150 km/h. At that time the selectors paid special attention to him and Umesh Yadav.
Umesh Yadav played more than 50 Tests, while Aaron could not get much opportunity due to continuous injuries and he went out of the team. Aaron is working as a TV commentary and cricket analysis after retirement.
