13 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the youngest player in IPL history. This batsman, living in Samastipur, Bihar, has been bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore.

Second youngest player to debut in Ranji Trophy Vaibhav is the player who debuted in Bihar Ranji Trophy at the age of 12 years and 284 days. He was the second youngest player to debut in Ranji. Before this, Alimuddin had debuted (age- 12 years 2 months 18 days), while Sachin Tendulkar had debuted at the age of 15 years and 232 days.

Then his father brought him to Gen X Cricket Academy located in Sampatchak, Patna. At the age of 10, Vaibhav played big matches and also started scoring runs in senior matches.
Scored 49 centuries and 3 double centuries in one year Vaibhav has scored 49 centuries and 3 double centuries in the last 1 year. The highest score of 670 runs was scored in the league and super league of Heman Trophy last year. In which there were three centuries and three half-centuries. Seeing the performance, BCA officials gave Vaibhav a chance.
Vaibhav was selected in the Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Tournament in October 2023. Bihar scored the most runs in the tournament held in Chandigarh. He scored 393 runs, which included one century and three half-centuries.
Joined Cricket Academy at the age of 7 Vaibhav’s father Sanjeev Suryavanshi told that ‘he was born on 27 March 2011. He started playing cricket at the age of 5. Kept playing cricket at home for 2 years. At the age of 7, I took him to the cricket academy in Samastipur.
Vaibhav played here for 3 years. Then we brought him to Gen X Cricket Academy located in Sampatchak, Patna. At the age of 10, Vaibhav played big matches and started scoring runs in senior matches as well.
Used to practice every day in the scorching sun Vaibhav used to practice at Patel Maidan in Samastipur. His coach Brajesh told that ‘Vaibhav used to work very hard. He used to have special time of 5 to 6 hours in the academy. During this time, seniors also used to practice with him. Even during the summer months, he used to practice in his sessions from 10 am to 3:30 pm, the results of which we are seeing today. He will not be seen resting anytime soon. He always keeps himself in practice.
