1. Former Union Minister SM Krishna passed away
SM Krishna, former Foreign Minister and Chief Minister of Karnataka, died at around 2:45 am on the night of 9 and 10 December. He was 92 years old. He breathed his last at his residence in Bengaluru. The Karnataka government has declared 3-day state mourning on the death of the former Chief Minister. No function or celebration will be held in the state during this period.
His last rites were performed with state honors at 4 pm.
2. Sanjay Malhotra will be the new Governor of RBI
The Union Cabinet on December 10 appointed Revenue Secretary Sanjay Malhotra as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). He will replace the current Governor Shaktikanta Das. Das’s term ends on December 10, 2024. Sanjay Malhotra is a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Rajasthan cadre. His tenure will be for 3 years.
Sanjay Malhotra is the 26th Governor of RBI.

There is recruitment for more than 500 apprentice posts in Neyveli Lignite Corporation (NLC). Candidates can apply by visiting the official website. After filling the form, candidates will have to send the hard copy offline to the prescribed address by 3 January 2025.

- Graduate Apprentice: 336 posts

Educational Qualification:

2. Recruitment of engineers in the Department of Telecommunications
Department of Telecommunications has announced vacancy for the posts of Sub Divisional Engineer (SDE) under TES Group ‘B’. Candidates can apply by visiting the website of Department of Telecommunications dot.gov.in.
Educational Qualification:
- Graduation degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Information Technology and Computer Science Engineering from a recognized institute.
Age Limit:
- maximum 56 years
Salary:
- Rs 47,600 – Rs 1,51,100 per month

1. Important changes will be made in CUET 2025
UGC Chairman M Jagadish Kumar said that there may be important changes in CUET UG and PG exams from the year 2025. This exam will now be shifted back to CBT i.e. Computer Based Test mode. Apart from this, now the candidates will have to answer all the questions and foreign language papers will also be reduced. Guidelines for this will also be issued soon. Regarding this, Jagdish Kumar said that the Commission is continuously working to improve the examination process and that is why these changes are being made.
2. Time table of Chhattisgarh board exams released
Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education i.e. CGBSE has released the time table of 10th and 12th board examinations. Class 12th exams are starting from March 1, while Class 10th exams are starting from March 3rd. Students can check the subject wise detailed datesheet on the official website cgbse.nic.in.
The examinations of both the classes will start with Hindi paper. The exams will be conducted in a single shift from 9 am to 12:15 pm. Students will be given additional time of first 15 minutes to read the paper.
3. Yes Madam laid off employees to be ‘stress free’
A start-up company named Yes Madam fired its employees to relieve their stress. As if you are saying – no job, no stress.
Actually, the company first asked the employees – Are you people feeling stressed at the workplace. Many employees said yes to this. After this the company fired all the employees who said yes. A mail sent by HR to these employees regarding this is also going viral. In which it is written – To ensure that no one remains under stress while working, we are firing all those who are under excessive stress. The company is facing embarrassment on social media platforms regarding this.
The company had sent this mail to the employees.
After this the company made a post saying that the employees have not been fired. He has been given a break from work just to be stress free. Along with this, the company is now trying to project this entire matter as a PR stunt.
The company had posted this in defense after the uproar on social media.
