UPSC has once again extended the last date of Civil Services Examination (CSE). Now candidates can apply till 21 February 2025. Its notification was issued on 22 January.
The Commission has extended the last date for the second time. The first last date was February 11, then it was extended to 18 February. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website upsc.gov.in or upsconline.gov.in.
This year 979 posts are to be recruited. Apart from this, the notification of UPSC IFOS i.e. Indian Forest Service Recruitment has been released. 150 posts will be filled for forest service.

UPSC has asked the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 and the Candidates of the Indian Forest Service (IFS) exam to submit all the necessary documents in their application form by 18 February. Window was till 6 pm on February 18 to upload the first documents. . Now it has also been increased.
Correction date increased from 25 to 28
In addition, the Commission has increased the application correction window, now candidates can do corrections from 22 to 28 February. The first correction date was from 12 to 18 February. It was then extended from 19 to 25 February. The Commission has once again extended this date.
Changes in online application process
Online Candidates appealed to the Commission regarding technical problems in the application process. After this, UPSC has started the correction option in the Civil Service Prelims Exam Process.
According to the official notice, the candidates in the special field in One-Time Registration (OTR) process can now edit documents by visiting the correction window till the last date of the application.
Edit will be able to do these fields
- If the name has changed before (“Have you ever changed the name?”)
- Gender
- Cast certificate
- Class 10th roll number
There will be no change in these fields
- Name (Class 10th Certificate)
- Date of birth
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Registered mobile number
- Registered email ID
Even after registration, you will be able to update mobile numbers
If the candidates who have lost their registered mobile number somewhere, the candidates can still use the email ID, the option of mobile number change can be given for them.
Candidates will be sent an OTP on Verification Email ID. Similarly, if there is no registered email ID, but the mobile number is still there, then candidates can update their email ID with OTP verification through their mobile number.
