1. 47th National Junior Girls Handball Tournament organized: The 47th National Junior Girls Handball tournament is being organized in Lucknow from 26 to 30 March.
A total of 30 teams are participating in the junior girls handball tournament.
- It is being organized on the occasion of the 50th Foundation Day of the UP Handball Association.
- The event is being organized by the Handball Association of India.
- The tournament is being played at KD Singh Babu Stadium.

2. Banking Law Bill 2024 passed from Parliament: On March 26, the Banking Law Amendment Bill was passed by Parliament with the passage of 2024 from the Rajya Sabha.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced this bill in the Rajya Sabha.
- Under this, bank account holders will be allowed to have a maximum of four nominees.
- It was approved by the Rajya Sabha.
- The bill was passed from the Lok Sabha on 3 December 2024.
- In this new bill, banking rules have been made more easy in the interest of customers.
3. Bollard Pul Tug ‘Yuvan’ Induction: On 26 March, the fourth 25 tonnes of Bollard Bridge (BP) Tug ‘Yuvan’ was organized.
The induction program was performed at Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
- The tug is part of an agreement made for the construction of six (6) 25t BP tugs for the Indian Navy.
- The agreement was reached on 12 November 2021 with Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL), Kolkata.
- These tugs have been designed indigenously according to the Navy rules and regulations of the Indian Register of Shipping (IRS).
- Shipyard has already submitted three tugs to the Indian Navy, which is assisting naval ships and submarines in operations, unbearable and narrow water areas.
4. Agreement between Ministry of Rural Development and Unicef-Yuwaah: The Yuwaah initiative of the Ministry of Rural Development (Mord) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (SOI) has signed a Memorandum (SOI) to empower rural women and youth in India.
The agreement between the Ministry of Rural Development and the UNICEF-IUWAAH was held in the capital New Delhi.
- This 3 -year partnership focuses on creating a livelihood opportunities.
- In this, women of self-help groups (SHG) will be linked to jobs, self-elimination, entrepreneurship and skill development initiatives.
- This will give a boost to the female work force participation in the rural area.
- Under this agreement, efforts will be made to strengthen digital infrastructure through the establishment of ‘Computer Didi centers’ and ‘Didi shop’ in 5 blocks of 5 states Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Rajasthan.

5. International Ramayana Conclave was held in Sri Lanka: On 26 March, the International Ramayana Conclave was organized in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.
The Conclave was held at the Vivekananda Cultural Center in Colombo.
- The event was organized in collaboration with the International Ramayana and Vedic Research Institute of Uttar Pradesh Culture Department and the Indian High Commission in Colombo.
- Sri Lanka has important places like Sita Elia, Manavari Temple and Munneshwaram Temple.

6. Sapak Takra Indian men’s team won gold in World Cup 2025: The Indian men’s team won the gold medal in the ‘Sekpak Takra World Cup 2025’ held in Patna, the capital of Bihar on 25 March.
The Indian contingent has won a total of 7 medals in the Sapak Takra World Cup 2025.
- Sepak Takra World Cup is also called Kick Volleyball World Cup.
- The event was organized from 20 to 25 March at Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna.
- More than 300 players and trainers from 20 countries of the world participated in this World Cup.
