2. Fit India Carnival organized in New Delhi: A fit India carnival is being organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi from 16 to 18 March 2025.
On March 16, the Union Minister of Youth Program and Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandavia inaugurated the Fit India Carnival.
- The objective of the event is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle, which can contribute to the creation of a Fit India movement, the formation of citizens, healthy and obese -free nations.
- The program will also unveil the upcoming Khelo India Para Games’ mascot, logo and sports songs.
- The Fit India Carnival will conduct several sports activities including rope jumping, stable cycling, arm wrestling, cricket bowling, squat and push-up challenges during three days.
3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s longest interview with Lex Fridman: On 16 March, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s longest interview broadcast with the famous podcaster and AI researcher Lex Fridman.

4. Nomination begins for Padma Award-2026: Online enrollment for the Padma Award-2026 to be declared on the occasion of Republic Day, 2026 from March 15, 2025 has started.
The last date for nomination of Padma Awards is 31 July 2025.

7. Spacecraft of Musk reached Space Station to take Sunita Williams: On 16 March, the spacecraft dragon of Ilon Musk’s company SpaceX reached the International Space Station after about 28 hours.
This spacecraft will bring back the Indian -origin American Astronaut Sunita Williams and Buch Willmore to Earth for 9 months.
- The four-member crew-10 team flew from Spacex’s Falcon 9 rocket at around 4:30 am on Saturday.
- It was launched from the Kennedy Space Center.
- After Crew-10 arrives at the space station, now Astronaut Nick Hague of Crew-9, Sunita Williams and Buch Willmore will return to Earth in the Dragon Spacecraft with Alexander Gorbunov.
- These four Astronauts can return to Earth from space station on 19 March.
