Navodaya School Committee will close the registration window for Class 9th and 11th Lateral Entry Test 2025 tomorrow i.e. 26th November 2024. Candidates desirous of admission in class 9th and 11th for the academic year 2025-26 can apply by visiting the official website navodaya.gov.in. The online correction window will be open on November 27 and 28, 2024.
Lateral Entry Selection Exam in JNV is to fill the vacant seats. This examination will be held on February 8, 2025.
CBSE designs NVS exam
To get admission in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (NVS), one has to pass a selection test. This test is designed and conducted by CBSE. This exam is known as Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST). This is a non-verbal and class neutral test.
Navodaya Vidyalayas promote the exam through Doordarshan, All India Radio, local newspapers, pamphlets, school websites and in local schools of the district.
Navodaya School Admission 2025: How to apply
- Go to the official website navodaya.gov.in
- On the home page, click on the NVS Admission Form Registration link for Class 9th or 11th.
- Enter required credentials
- Complete the form and click submit
Documents required for uploading
- Student’s passport size photo
- Signatures of parents
- Student’s signature
test pattern 2025-26
- The test paper of NVS class 11th and 9th will be of 2 hours 30 minutes.
- In this, 50 minutes extra will be given to disabled students.
- Any student can give this test only once.
- In 9th, the exam is objective/descriptive type and total is 100 marks.
- Whereas, admission in class 11th is done on the basis of merit of class 10th.
According to the official notification, ‘The result of the selection process can be seen on the NVS application portal. The result will also be uploaded on JNV websites. Selected candidates will also be given information through speed post/registered post.
Seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates in the district in proportion to their population. In this, one-third seats are reserved for girl students. 3% seats are reserved for disabled children.
