The Ministry of Education has released a directive for all states and union territories on Saturday 26 July. It has been asked to decide the measures and scales ready to ensure the safety of school children and youth.
It clearly states that states and union territories will have to do safety audit from time to time of all educational institutions and places where students and youth often go.
Mechanism to report is fine
The Ministry of Education has also issued a directive that in the event of emergency, the mechanism of reporting for students and youth should be easy and stream lind. Also, their complaints should be taken action as soon as possible.
Any dangerous accident, the possibility of an accident or any incident that can lead to an accident, they should be reported within 24 hours. Strict action will be taken against the institutions in which this will not happen. Also, administrative action will be taken against institutions in cases of delay or negligence.
Take care of mental health of students
In these instructions, the Ministry of Education has asked not only physical safety of students but also to take care of mental safety. Institutions are instructed to create an atmosphere to support psychological and emotional health of students. For this, counseling services, pear support networks and outreach programs should be organized in schools. Also, students and staff should continue to be trained from time to time.
