The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the date of the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 examinations on 7 February. This time the exam will be on the old pattern.
According to the NEET UG 2025 exam calendar, this exam will be held on May 4 from 2 pm to 5 pm. NTA has opened the registration window to apply. The last date to register will be March 7. Candidates can register by visiting the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
Will be able to do correction from 9 to 11 March
After the application window is closed, candidates will be given a chance to correction in their form from March 9 to March 11. The exam center slip will be released by 26 April and the admit cards of NEET 2025 can be downloaded from May 1.
NEET UG 2025 Registration Fee
- General category: Rs 1,700
- EWS/OBC/NCL: Rs 1,600
- SC/ST/PWBD/Third Gender: Rs 1,000
The fee for those choosing exam center outside India is Rs 9,500.

- Go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the ‘NEET (UG) -2025 registration and online application link on the homepage.
- A new page will appear.
- Register yourself and fill all the necessary credentials.
- At the fee and click on submit.
- Keep a print of your application form for the future.
APAAR ID is no longer necessary for registration
The National Testing Agency released a new guideline for NEET UG on 26 January. It said that APAAR ID for the exam is not compulsory.
NTA had earlier issued a notice on 14 January 2025 to update its Aadhaar card and link its AAPAR ID from the candidates which were known as Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID).
Aapar ID works like credit
Aapar ID works as a digital repository for academic credit of students. It holds a detailed and complete record of academic performance of students.
NTA has said in its notice that NEET UG 2025 is not required for registration, APAAR ID, which is currently credited by students. There are still optional methods to register the exam.
Along with this, the notice states that all kinds of guidelines will be issued for candidates in the next update.
Now there will be no section ‘B’ in the exam
The National Testing Agency i.e. NTA issued a notice for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET-Un) 2025 exam pattern. According to the new notice, there will be no section ‘B’ in the exam format.
Now candidates will not get extra time
According to the NTA notice, the question paper pattern and exam time will be in the earlier format of Kovid-19. Please tell that there was no section B in the exam format before Kovid. Also, the total time of the exam was 180 minutes. Now it will be taken again in this format.
According to the old pattern, there will be a total of 180 compulsory questions, out of which 45-45 questions will be asked from Physics and Chemistry. 90 questions will be from the Biology section. The time given after Kovid-19 will be removed. Earlier 3 hours 30 minutes time was given to the candidates.

Candidates will benefit from APAAR ID
NTA has not kept the APAAR ID compulsory. NTA has stated in its notice that candidates can also continue this process and add it to take advantage of APAAR ID.
- Aadhaar linking makes it easier for officers to identify candidates, verify. Due to which it becomes easy process during exam.
- Linking the base makes all information automatic filled and reduces the chances of Huanman Err.
- Aadhaar verification gives the entry at the exam center quickly. Which saves the time of candidates.
- The Aadhaar Verification holds a secure record of the information of the candidates.
