India won the fifth Test against England and equalized the series 2–2, but after the victory, Team India did not celebrate any major celebration. The players spent time with their families after the match was over on Monday and left for India in different batches on Tuesday morning.

Several players, including Mohammad Siraj, reached Dubai by flight on Tuesday, from where they will leave for their respective cities. Siraj Hyderabad, while Arshdeep Singh and Shardul Thakur also returned to India. Some players have stayed in England for a few days.

All -rounder Washington Sundar was given the impact player medal of the series by the Indian management. At the same time, head coach Gautam Gambhir said, I am very happy with the team performance.

According to BCCI sources, no special celebrations took place. The series was quite long and tedious. The players were spending time with their families or alone. Most of the players have returned to India, some are holidaying. Now Team India’s next challenge will be the Asia Cup in UAE next month.

Washington Sundar was chosen as the impact player of the series after India’s exciting win by 6 runs in the fifth Test. Mohammad Siraj, Shubman Gill and Ravindra Jadeja were also in this race, but Sundar’s performance put him at the forefront.

Sundar played four consecutive Tests in the series. He scored a total of 284 runs, including a half -century and a brilliant century. He also took 7 wickets in bowling.

In the third Test, he dismissed big batsmen like Ben Stokes, Joe Root and Jamie Smith and took 4 wickets. In the Manchester Test, he batted for five sessions with Jadeja and draws the match. There he scored an unbeaten 101 runs.

In the last Test in London, Sundar scored 53 runs (46 balls) batting like T20. His innings consisted of 4 fours and 4 sixes, helping India reach 396 runs in the second innings and England led to a big target of 374 runs.

During the medal ceremony in the dressing room, Ravindra Jadeja himself took the name of Sundar and hugged him and gave him a medal.
