Indian shuttler Tanya Hemanth won the Sainapa International 2025 badminton title on Saturday, 16 August. He defeated Japan player Kanaye Sakai 15–10, 15-8 to win the Women’s Singles title.
This was Tanya’s fourth International and the first title of 2025. Sainapa International 2025 was held in Northern Mariana Island.
Started playing badminton in mother’s supervision
The mother was also fond of playing badminton. She used to play badminton with her friends. After school, she used to take Tanya with her. Gradually, Tanya also started to like this game and then started playing. After playing for a few years, she realized that she could do well in this game.
After this, Tanya started playing badminton professionally. He started it from school and then played the State Tournament. Tanya played badminton in the Under 10, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17 every category and performed in a great manner.
Tanya took his early training in Isports Badminton Academy, where he spent 6.5 years.
In an interview, Tanya says that till the first of the 10th, Tanya felt that she could do better in both schooling and sports. But after coming to the 10th, it was realized that both could not be done simultaneously. If they have to play professionally badminton, then going to Daily School is not possible. In such a situation, he stopped going to Properly School after coming to 10th class. Then since then she went to school for 2-4 days a month. However, his good marks came in exams.
In 2020, Tanya joined Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA). Here his coach Vimal Kumar gives tips and training to focus on senior tournaments. These academy run the former veteran badminton player Prakash Padukone.
Tanya started playing Properly International Tournament from 2021-2022 after pendemic.
2 international titles at junior level and 1 runner-up
Tanya goes to 2 international titles at the junior level. Also, there are runners-ups in 1 tournament. In 2014, the title at the Under-13 Girls Doubles in Tamil Nadu, the under-19 singles gold at Dubai Junior International in 2018, Silver in Cyprus Junior in the same year. Also, in 2019, along with Aditi Bhatt in Chandigarh, the All India U19 Girls Doubles won.

Tanya has won 4 senior international titles in the last 4 years. He won his first Senior International title in the year 2022. Tanya won the Women’s Singles title in India International 2022. Then, Iran Fajr International 2023 Women’s Singles title and Women’s Singles title in Bendigo International 2024.
This time Tanya won the Women’s Singles title in Sainapa International 2025. After Sindhu, he has rejected his claim as an emerging star.
She reached the final of Azerbaijan International in 2024, but lost to her Indian player Malvika Bansod.
