Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina appeared in front of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday in the betting app case. Raina arrived at the ED headquarters in Delhi for questioning.
Raina has been called for questioning in the case of an online betting app (1xbet) promotion. He is the brand ambassador of this app.
Suresh Raina retired from international cricket in 2020.
Many celebrities under investigation Raina is not the only celebrity who is being questioned in such a case. Apart from them, many more cricketers and Bollywood celebrities are under investigation. The ED is investigating this batting app under the money laundering.
More than eight thousand runs in Raina’s international cricket Suresh Raina represented India in all three format tests, ODIs and T20s in international career. Raina made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2005. He was an important member of the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 winning team and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 winning Indian team.
In his career, he played 226 ODIs, 78 T20s and 18 Test matches, in which he scored more than 8,000 international runs in total. In August 2020, he announced his retirement from international cricket along with Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Raina made his international debut in 2005.
