Shukri Conrad was made the head coach of South Africa in 2023.
Former South African player Shukri Konrad has been selected by Cricket South Africa (CSA) of all formats. Earlier, Conrad was given the role of Test and ODI coach after the team’s white ball coach Rob Walter resigned.
Conrad will be the coach of the team till 2027 World Cups in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. On Friday, Cricket South Africa gave this information on social media x. Africa has reached the final of the World Test Championship for the first time in Conrad’s coaching.
White-ball coaching starts from tri-series

Conrad, which has been coaching the Test team from January 2023, will now take command in the White-Ball format from the T20 tri-series against Zimbabwe and New Zealand in July. The 58 -year -old Conrad ICC Mains Cricket World Cup will oversee the national team in all formats by 2027, which will be hosted by South Africa themselves.

Conrad said, coaching the Test team is the biggest thing in my cricket journey and now I am exercised to look after the White-Ball teams. African has several talented players in white-ball cricket. I believe that we have everything necessary to achieve something special.
He further said, we have a busy schedule ahead, which will start from the WTC final next month. After that we have to play T20 World Cup and ODI Cup.
Africa first in WTC final
South Africa has reached the World Test Championship final in Conrad’s coaching. The team will compete with Australia at Lord’s from June 11. Africa finished first in the WTC points table. The team had 100 points with 8 wins and 3 defeats in 12 matches.
South Africa will play the WTC final on 11 June.
