After returning from England tour, Indian captain Shubman Gill will be seen playing domestic cricket. He has been made the captain of the North Zone for the Duleep Trophy, the first tournament of the domestic season. Apart from Gill, Indian wicketkeeper Dhruv has been made the captain of Jurael Central Zone.
The teams of both zones have been released on Friday. Last week, Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was made the captain of the West Zone, while bowling all -rounder Shardul Thakur has been given the command of West Zone. Mumbai Indians batsman Tilak Verma will play the Duleep Trophy for South Zone in 2025 and will also captain the team. The Duleep Trophy starts from August 28.
The previous title of the Dalip Trophy was won by India A, captained by Mayank Agarwal. The team defeated India C by 132 runs in the final round.

Gill is in excellent form, 4 centuries in England
Indian captain Shubman Gill is in great form. He scored 754 runs in the 5 -match Test series against England with the help of 4 centuries. Which will be played from 28 to 31 August at BCCI’s Center of Excellence Ground in Bengaluru.
Gill also played in the Dalip Trophy last year and captained India A team in the first match. However, under his captaincy, India A lost by 76 runs against Abhimanyu Ishwaran -led India B team. Gill captained Punjab in the last season of the Ranji Trophy.
