Shardul Thakur played a brilliant innings of 122 runs in 68 balls for India A in the Intra-Squad match played in Bekanham. Along with this, he presented his claim at the playing XI for the first Test match against England.

On the third day, Thakur became the second player to score a century in India A’s innings. Earlier, Sarfaraz Khan scored 101 runs in 76 balls on the second day, including 15 fours and 2 sixes.
