Ravi Shastri, former coach of Team India, believes that Team India will have to take big decisions for the tour of England. He said- Management should give left hand openers Sai Sudarshan and Arshdeep Singh in the team. I think both these players are best for all three formats.
Shastri said about the series that if Mohammad Siraj, Jaspreet Bumrah and Mohammed Shami are fit, England may have to face a lot of problems in the Test series. India’s England tour will begin on 20 June.
Sudarshan is a class player
Speaking to the host Sanjana Ganesan in the ICC review, Shastri said, the young Sai Sudarshan has a game of all three formats. He is a class player and I want to see him playing Tests. I think if someone has to give a chance in new players, then Sudarshan is the best choice.

Sudarshan has scored a double century for Tamil Nadu
Sai Sudarshan played county cricket for Surrey in 2023 and 2024. He played 5 matches in English condition and scored 281 runs with the help of 1 century. He plays domestic cricket from Tamil Nadu and has so far scored 1957 runs in 29 first class matches at an average of about 40. These include a double century against Delhi.
Sai Sudarshan scored runs at an average of 40 in first class cricket. He is also the first player to score 500 runs in the 18th season of IPL.
Arshdeep also became part of Scod
Shastri said, I also feel the need for left arm pacer in the team. I do not think Arshdeep Singh does well only with a white ball. If they can bowl 15-20 over from red ball, they also have the ability to perform well in this format.
