Sachin Tendulkar’s painting looks like this in the MCC Museum.
Before the start of the third Test match between India and England, a special painting of cricket’s great batsman Sachin Tendulkar was inaugurated at Lord’s Famous Merillabone Cricket Club (MCC) museum.
The painting is made by artist Stuart Piercen Wright, which has been prepared on a photo basis. He took this photo at Sachin’s house about 18 years ago. The painting will remain in the MCC Museum by the end of this year, after which it will be installed in the historic pavilion of Lord’s.

X post on Tendulkar’s painting.
This is a great honor for me- Tendulkar Tendulkar said on this occasion, this is a great honor for me. When India won the World Cup in 1983, I first saw Lord’s. I saw our captain Kapil Dev picking up the trophy, and my cricket journey started from there. Today, when my painting is engaged in Lord’s pavilion, it seems that my journey is now complete. When I remember my career, there is a smile on my face. This moment is very special.
The special feature of this painting is that it is not full-length, as was earlier paintings, but it is made only on Sachin’s head and shoulders.

I made a new way- right Artist Stuart Wright said, MCC did not want this painting to be the same, so I adopted a new way. I focused on Sachin’s face and gave him a big shape to show him ‘hero -like’. He further said that I have always kept the background simple so that meditation remains on the person. This painting is for Sachin Tendulkar’s long and glorious career.
Created aluminum The painting release stated that as the work on painting went ahead, the artist made changes and finally it was prepared as an oil picture on abressive aluminum (worn aluminum). Its background is Abstract, which reflects Sachin’s old batting. Wright has earlier made paintings of Kapil Dev, Bishan Singh Bedi and Dilip Vengsarkar.

Program going on for last 30 years MCC’s “Lord’s Portrait Program” has been running for the last 30 years, but MCC started collecting art and historical things from the 1950s itself. The MCC Museum is Europe’s oldest sports museum. “Long Room Gallery” is considered the most historical gallery in the sports world. MCC has around 3,000 photos, out of which there are about 300 portraits.
