Mi Cape Town is the defending champion of the tournament.

The fourth season schedule of South Africa’s franchise cricket tournament SA20 has been released. Defending champion Mi Cape Town will face Durban Supergiants in the opening match on 26 December. The match will be played at Newlands Stadium. The final of the tournament will be held on 25 January. Venue of playoff matches was not released.

First double-header opening match the only day of the match The first double-header of the season will be on Saturday, December 27. The Centurion will have a special darby match between Pretoria Capitals and Jorgberg Super Kings, while Parl Royals and Sunrisers Eastern Cape in Bolland Park will clash in the second match.

Kagiso Rabada will also be seen playing with Mi Cape Town this time.

Enthusiasm in Kingsmid before new year The domestic ground of Durban Super Giants will be buzzing in the Kingsmide Kingsmide before the new year. The ground will host the Mi Cape Town on 28 December and the Joeburg Super Kings on 30 December.

New Year Celebration and Double-Header On 31 December 2025, fans will get a chance to welcome the New Year, when there will be another exciting double-header in Kebarha and Cape Town. Two -time champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape will host Parl Royals at St. George Park, while Newlands will have a match between Mi Cape Town and Pretoria Capitals at 9 pm.

Franchise preparations Graeme Smith said that the franchisees are trying to strengthen their teams. The auction to be held on 9 September will be the squad final. Smith said, “There is complete preparation to bring Best International and Local Players on our platform.”
