Roshni Nadar Malhotra has become Asia’s richest business woman and Bharti’s richest woman. In fact, Shiv Nadar, the founder of Hindustan Computers Limited i.e. HCL Group, has recently transferred a 47% stake of the company to daughter Roshni Nadar Malhotra.
According to Bloomberg, Roshni Nadar has become the 5th richest woman in the world.
According to ‘Bloomberg Billionaires Index’, Roshni has now become the third richest Indian with assets worth Rs 3.13 lakh crore. More assets than them are only with Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.
Before Roshni, his father Shiv Nadar was the third richest person in India. HCL technology led by it is the third largest IT company in the country. Its market cap is 4.20 lakh crore rupees. Now more than half of this is with Shiv Nadar’s daughter.
Forbes’ list of powerful women included 6 consecutive times
Roshni Nadar made it to the US Business magazine Forbes’ list of ‘100 most powerful women in the world’ 6 times (from 2016 to 2022). She included the list of richest women of ‘Forbes India’ in 2020 and 2021. Business Today recognized her as ‘India’s most influential women’s business leader’.
According to the 2024 Barclays Private Clients Hurun India Most Valuable Family Business Report, Roshni Nadar Malhotra, chairperson of HCL Technologies, is India’s most influential woman.
Roshni is married to Shikhar Malhotra, who is the Vice Chairman of HCL Healthcare. He is also a trained classical musician.

Roshni is the largest shareholder of HCL Corp (49.94%) and Vama Delhi (12.94%). Also, now Roshni has a stake of more than 57%, including HCL Infosystem and HCL Tech. Roshni, who has been the chairperson of HCL Tech since 2020, will now get the right to vote in HCL Infosystem and HCL Corp.
