Indian captain Rohit Sharma has left for Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was seen at Mumbai airport late night on Saturday (23 November). Rohit took a break from the first match of the 5-match Test series.

In the absence of Rohit, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah took command of the team in the first test. Whereas KL Rahul took the responsibility of opening. Rohit will be part of the team in the second test.

Apart from Rohit, the rest of the Indian team left for Australia on 10-11 November. Rohit had already told BCCI and the selection committee that he may miss the Perth Test.

The first test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy will start from tomorrow. The second Test will start from December 6 in Adelaide, which is a day-night match.

Rohit became father for the second time Team India’s Test and ODI captain Rohit has become a father for the second time. His wife Ritika Sajdeh gave birth to a son late on 15 November. Rohit had taken a break from Team India for the birth of his child.

Team India will play 5 tests in Australia Team India has gone to Australia to play a 5-Test series after 32 years. The first match of the series will be played in Perth from 22 November, the team will then play the day-night test in Adelaide from 6 December. The fifth and last Test of the series will be played in Sydney from January 3. To reach the final of the World Test Championship (WTC), India will have to win 4 Tests in Australia.
