1. Dnyanesh Kumar became the new Chief Election Commissioner
The 1988 batch IAS officer and current Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). They will take over this responsibility from today i.e. 18 January. The current CEC Rajiv Kumar is retiring today. They are the first CEC to be appointed under the new law. His term will remain till 26 January 2029.
2. XAI launched chatbot ‘Groke 3’
Ilon Musk and XAI have launched their chatbot ‘Grocke 3’ today (18 February). During the launch, Tesla and X owner Musk described Groke 3 as the world’s smartest AI. He also said that people will become crazy about Groke. Musk has also announced the Reasoning Model of ‘Groke 3’. It will compete with models such as Openai O3 Mini, Deepcick R1 and recently launched Gemini 2.0 flash region.
During the launch, the team of Musk and XAI explained how Grock 3 is ahead of other AI models like Openai, Google, Dipcik. He explained how Grake 3 is better than all other models like Gemini 2 Pro, Cloud 3.5 sonnet, GPT 4O and Deepcick V3 in Grake 3 maths, science and coding benchmarks.
