1. PM Modi inaugurates ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024’ in Jaipur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024’ in Jaipur today i.e. on 9 December. This summit will last for 3 days and representatives from 32 countries are participating in it. ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Conclave’ will be held on the second day of the programme, while ‘MSME Conclave’ will be hosted on the last day. Even before the summit, Rajasthan government has signed MOUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore with various companies.
Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 is being organized at Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC) located in Sitapura.
2. Union Minister of State Jitin Prasad launches the fourth edition of India Internet Governance Forum
Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasad launched the fourth edition of India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF) in New Delhi on December 9. This program will continue for two days.
IIGF 2024 is being held on December 9-10, 2024 at Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

1. Recruitment for 223 apprentice posts in RITES
RITES Limited has invited applications for more than 200 posts including Graduate Apprentice. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of RITES, rites.com. This apprenticeship will be for one year. It will not be extended.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate Apprentice:
Must have an Engineering Degree (BE/B.Tech/B.Arch) or Non-Engineering Graduate (BA/BBA/B.Com/B.Sc/BCA) from a recognized university or institute.
Diploma Apprentice:
Three Year Engineering Diploma.

2. UPSC has announced recruitment for the posts of Assistant Commandant in CISF.
Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC has invited applications for the posts of Assistant Commandant (Executive) in Central Industrial Security Force i.e. CISF. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of UPSC upsc.gov.in. Opportunity for correction in the registration form will be given from December 25 to December 31.
UPSC will conduct the examination for this recruitment on 9 March 2025. Under this recruitment process, 25 posts of general category, 4 posts of Scheduled Caste and 2 posts of Scheduled Tribe are included. If selected, candidates will have to undergo training at CISF training center and undergo a probation period of two years.
Educational Qualification:
Graduation degree from a recognized institute.
Physical Qualification:
- Height of male candidates should be 165 cm.
- The height of ST category men should be 162.5 cm.
- Men’s chest should be 81 cm.
- The height for female candidates has been fixed at 157 cm.
- Height of ST female candidates should be 154 cm.
Age Limit:
- The maximum age of the candidates should be 35 years as on 1 January 2025.
- Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation as per rules.

1. Farmer helped unknown students, DSP posted on social media
Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior DSP Santosh Patel posted a video on social media platform X which is going viral these days. DSP Santosh Patel was doing night patrolling in the rural areas of Gwalior. Meanwhile, when he saw two young men walking on foot, he stopped and started talking.
Actually, the exam center of these students was in a remote area. Where there was no arrangement for living and eating. In such a situation, Nathuram Pal, a farmer living near the center, opened the doors of his house for the students. Nathuram tied his cattle outside in the fields and made arrangements for the students to stay in their place. Apart from this, the farmer also fed them all.
2. Awadh Ojha gets Patparganj ticket in place of Manish Sisodia.
Aam Aadmi Party has given ticket to UPSC teacher Avadh Ojha for the assembly elections from Patparganj seat of Delhi. Avadh Ojha had joined the party on 2 December itself. Earlier, former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia used to contest elections on this seat. This time he has been fielded from Jangpura.
3. Tomorrow is the last date to fill the form for UGC NET 2024.
Tomorrow i.e. 10th December is the last date to apply for UGC NET 2024. Candidates can apply for this by visiting ugcnet.nta.ac.in. You can deposit your fees till 11th December.
4. CLAT 2025 result released
The result of Common Law Admission Test i.e. CLAT 2025 has been released. Candidates can check their result and scorecard at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Its exam was held on 1 December. Students who qualify the exam will get a chance to study in top law colleges of the country.
