Ashwin announced his retirement from IPL on August 27 this year.

After this, Ashwin will leave for Australia, where BBL will run till 25 January. However, due to the tight schedule, he will not be available for the entire season of BBL. Teams such as Sydney Sixers, Sydney Thunder, Hobart Hurricanes and Adelaide Strikers are eager to include Ashwin in their team in BBL.
