Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Kayaking-Canoying competition held at Tehri Lake Koti Colony under the 38th National Games.

He honored gold, silver and bronze medal winners by wearing medals in the 1000 meter heat kayaking men’s competition. In this competition, Prabhat Kumar of Uttarakhand won gold medal, SSCB won silver and Delhi won bronze medal.

16 state players participated
160 players from 16 states are participating in the three-day Kayaking-Canoying contestants under the 38th National Sports in Tehri Lake. These include Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Orissa, Manipur, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Chandigarh, SSCB State including 80 female players and 80 male players.

Uttarakhand made a place at 7 places
The Chief Minister said that after Uttarakhand Devbhoomi, Veerbhoomi, it is now being established as sports land. Hosting the 38th National Games in the state is the first and pleasant experience.
A grand event of the 38th National Games is being held from 28 January. CM said that while Uttarakhand stood 25th in the 37th National Games, now our state is 7 places in the 38th National Games.

The same Chief Minister launched the Malkhamb competition under the National Games at Khatima. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced to build a boxing hostel at Chakarpur Stadium.
The Chief Minister said that in this newly constructed stadium in Chakarpur, everyone is feeling happy in this Malkhamb competition organized under the 38th National Games.
