Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has increased the salary of its National Women’s team by 50%. The board released the new central contract for the 2025-26 season. Which will be applicable from 1 July 2025 and will be effective by 30 June 2026.
According to the information received, 20 women cricketers have been included in the new contract. These are divided into 5 categories. The Pakistani women’s team is on a tour of Ireland and will participate in the 3 T20 matches series from today. The first match will be played in Dublin, the capital of Ireland.

Promot in Sadia Iqbal A category Top rank T20 bowler Sadia Iqbal has been promoted in A category. He performed brilliantly in the World Cup qualifier, taking 9 wickets. Left arm spinner Sadia A category has joined the club of captain Fatima Sana, wicketkeeper Muniba Ali and all -round Sidra Amin.
E category for the first time for new players The Pakistani board has included a new category in the contract for emerging players. Its purpose is to pursue young players. Iman Fatima and Shawal Zulfikar have been included in this category. Both these players are part of the Ireland tour of the Pakistan Under-19 team.
Apart from this, Diana Baig has been promoted in category B, while Ramim Shamim is kept in category C. Experienced players like Alia Riyaz, Sidra Nawaz, Natalia Parvez and Waheeda Akhtar have also got Central contracts.

Why PCB has just released the contract The Pakistani board has taken this decision when the Pakistan women’s cricket team has many big tournaments and bilateral series in the coming months. The team will be played by the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in September-October 2025 and the Women’s T20 World Cup in June 2026. PCB has taken this initiative to prepare and boost the morale of the team for these matches.
