The Hockey Asia Cup winning team gets direct entry in the World Cup. If the Pakistan team does not come to India, then the team will miss this opportunity.

Government’s instructions will accept- Hockey India
Hockey India Secretary General Bholanath Singh said, ‘It is too early to say anything on whether Pakistan team will come for the Asia Cup. Terrorist attack in Pahalgam and India’s operation vermilion occurred a few days ago. In such a situation, it is difficult to say anything at this time.
There is still about 3 months left for the tournament to start. We are waiting for peace to happen. Whatever instructions the government will have, we will follow them.
181 hockey matches were played between India and Pakistan. Pakistan won in 82 and India in 67. There was also a draw of 32 matches.
If the government refuses, there will be a tournament without Pakistan
A Hockey India official said, ‘If the government refuses to give an entry to Pakistan, then a tournament would be held without them. Everything depends on the government’s decision.
If Pakistan does not come to India to play, then the Asian Hockey Federation will fully decide to get a tournament without them. If they want, they can get 7 teams tournaments or any other team can also be given a chance instead of Pakistan.
Pakistan team did not come to India even in 2016
The Junior Hockey World Cup took place in India after the terrorist attack on Pathankot Airbase in 2016. Even then the Pakistan hockey team did not come to India. Then Malaysia was given an entry to Malaysia instead of Pakistan.
After tension in both countries, Pakistan’s Junior Hockey World Cup also finds it difficult to come to India. The tournament will be played in Chennai and Madurai from 28 November to 10 December.
India won the title by defeating Pakistan in the Junior Hockey Asia Cup last year.
Asia Cup provides direct entry in World Cup
AIMSTEM, Netherlands will have a hockey World Cup from 14 to 30 August next year. The team winning the Asia Cup gets a direct entry in the World Cup. The 5 -time champion South Korea is a defending champion. At the same time, India and Pakistan are waiting for their fourth title.
Apart from India and Pakistan, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, Oman and Chinese Taipei will also participate in the Hockey Asia Cup. 4-4 teams will be divided into 2 groups. The semi-finals between the 2-2 top teams of both the groups and the winning teams are scheduled to be finalized on 7 September.
The Pakistan hockey team has won the Asia Cup 3 times so far.
India took revenge from Operation Sindoor
On April 22, 3 terrorists killed 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir. After which India expelled all Pakistani citizens from the country and banned many Pakistani social media accounts in the country.
