Pakistan has defeated West Indies by 127 runs in the first match of the 2-match Test series. It was a low scoring match on Multan’s spin friendly wicket. In reply to 251 runs on the third day on Sunday, West Indies’ second innings was reduced to 123 runs.
Sajid Khan, who was the player of the match, took a total of 9 wickets. Took 4 wickets in the first innings and 5 wickets in the second innings. 6 Caribbean batsmen could not touch double figures in the second innings.
Earlier, Pakistani innings was reduced to 157 runs. With a lead of 93 runs in the first innings, the Pakistan team set a target of 251 runs for the West Indies.
On the second day of the match, Pakistan could score 230 runs in its first innings. Whereas the West Indies team was reduced to 137 runs. In which spinner Noman Ali from Pakistan took 5 wickets. The second match of the series will be played in Multan from January 25.
Shakeel-Rizwan hit fifty Pakistan started playing on the second day with a score of 143/4. Saud Shakeel led his innings with a score of 56 and Mohammad Rizwan with a score of 51 runs. Bowlers took West Indies beyond 100 runs West Indies batsmen could bat only 25.2 overs in the first innings. In the top-7, only captain Kraigg Brathwaite could reach 11 runs, the remaining 6 batsmen could not even touch the figure of 7 runs. The team lost 8 wickets at the score of 66 runs.

Captain Masood was set, but was run out after scoring 52 runs. The team lost the third wicket on the score of 106 runs. Till the end of the day’s play, Kamran Ghulam remained not out after scoring 9 runs and Saud Shakeel remained not out after scoring 2 runs. By scoring 109 runs, Pakistan has taken a lead of 202 runs in the second innings.

Rain became a hindrance on the first day On Friday, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat. Due to rain only 41.3 overs could be played. The home team scored 143 runs losing 4 wickets. Top-4 batsmen could not do anything special. Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan scored fifties and took control of the team.
