The captaincy of the T20 team has been handed over to Salman Aga.
The Pakistan team was announced on Tuesday for the tour of New Zealand. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gave information about the squad for T20 and ODI series on X. Pakistan has five T20s and three ODIs in New Zealand from 16 March.
Rizwan and Babur out of T20 series Captain Mohammad Rizwan and Batter Babar Azam have not got a chance in the team for the T20 series. Salman Aga has been named the captain of the T20 team in place of Rizwan while all-rounder Shadab Khan has returned. He has been made the vice -captain.
Shaheen and Rauf out of ODI team Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf have also been dropped from the ODI team. Rizwan will captain ODI. Pakistan’s team will still not have opener batsman Sam Ayub, they have not yet recovered from ankle injury.
