1. Oscar entry of Priyanka Chopra-Guneet Monga’s film ‘Anuja’
The film ‘Anuja’ produced by filmmakers Guneet Monga and Priyanka Chopra has received a nomination in the Best Live Action Short Film category at Oscars 2025. This is an American film made in Hindi language. It is called Adam J. Graves directed and had its world premiere at the 24th Deadcenter Film Festival on June 8, 2024.
This short film is the story of two sisters, Anuja and Palak, who work in a clothing factory.
2. Michael Martin becomes Prime Minister of Ireland for the second time
On 23 January, Michael Martin was elected as Prime Minister of the Republic of Ireland for a second term. In the elections held in Ireland on November 29, 2024, Michael Martin’s party ‘Fianna Fáil’ won 48 out of 174 seats and ‘Fine Gael’ won 38 seats, which was less than the absolute majority.
Martin will now lead a coalition government including Fianna Fáil, its long-time rivals Fine Gael and independent MPs.
Martin, 64, previously served as prime minister from 2020 to 2022.

- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Backward Class: 18 to 43 years
- High Court or Government Servant: Minimum 18 years (No maximum age limit)

1. Center of JEE Mains Prayagraj changed
National Testing Agency (NTA) has now shifted the center of examination for JEE Mains 2025 Session-1 to Prayagraj Exam Center on 28, 29 and 30 January 2025 to Varanasi. The Commission gave this information by issuing a notice on 23 January 2025.
The Commission said that many candidates had complained that due to the large number of devotees in Mahakumbh, it has become impossible for them to go to Prayagraj Exam Centre. Therefore the center should be changed.
2. BPSC 70th CCE result released, 21,521 candidates qualified
Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the result of 70th CCE Prelims. Candidates can check the result by visiting the official website bpsc.bih.nic.in. BPSC 70th CCE (Prelims) exam was held on 13th December 2024. Re-exam was conducted on January 4 for 12,000 candidates who appeared for the paper at Bapu Exam Center in Patna.
