World No-1 Arena Sabalanka made it to the quarter-finals on Sunday in Wimbledon’s Round of 16 matches. He defeated Belgium’s Ellis Martens in a straight set in a Women’s Singles match. World No-5 Taylor Fritz also made it to the quarter-finals in Mans Singles.
Won 3 players in Women’s Singles World number-1 Belarus’s Arena Sabalenka Na Martens was defeated by a margin of 6-4, 7-6 (7-4). In addition to him in Women’s Singles, Russia’s Anastasia Pavlucencova defeated Britain’s Sonay Cartal 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. At the same time, Germany’s Laura Sigmund defeated Argentina’s Solana Sierra 6-3, 6-2 to make it to the quarter-finals.
The quarter final match of Arena Sabalenka will be held on 8 July from Laura Sigmund.
Number-1 pair won in Mains Doubles Argentina’s Marcello Arewalo and Matt Powich of Croatia made it to the quarter -finals in Mains Doubles. The number-1 pair of the two defeated the Patrick Real and Peter Nauja pair of Czech Republic by a margin of 7-5, 7-6 (15–13).
The pair of Tim Putz and Kevin Cravitz of World No. 3 Germany in Mains Doubles had to fall prey to reversal. Both were defeated by Rinke Hijikata of Australia and David Pale of Netherlands 6–2, 6-4.
