Batting all -rounder Sophie Divine has been given the captaincy of the team.
The New Zealand Cricket Board has announced its squad for the Women’s ODI World Cup. The tournament will be played in India and Sri Lanka from 30 September. The team’s captaincy has been handed over to Sophie Divine.
The New Zealand team won the Women’s T20 World Cup title in 2024. The team consists of 22 -year -old left -arm spin bowler Flora Devonshire. Flora has not yet made her ODI debut.
Frane Jones not a place in the team Fren Jones, who was part of the Kiwi team’s T20 World Cup winning squad, has not got a place in the team. Apart from this, Poly English, Bela James and Breie Iing are the three players who do not have much experience of playing in ODI format.
