Indian Jeweline thror Neeraj Chopra will take part in Janus Kusosinski Memorial Meet 2025 in Chorjo, Poland today. He threw 90.23 meters in Doha Diamond League on Friday last week, which was the first time. However, Neeraj finished second in the League.
Julian Weber of Germany finished first with a throw of 91.06 meters and Grenada’s Peters Anderson finished third with 85.64 meters. Weber scored 91.06 meters in his last attempt.
Third Asian athlete to score 90m plus Neeraj Chopra has become the third player from Asia to score more than 90 meters in Jewelin Throw. Not only this, he has become the 25th Javelin thrower of the world to do so. Prior to Neeraj, Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem threw 92.97 meters in the Paris Olympics 2024, while Cho-Tsun Cheng of Chinese Taipei scored 91.36 meters in the Asian Championship 2017.

What is Janus Kusosinsky Memorial Meet? The Chorjo Meet, which started in 1954, is named after a famous Polish athlete Janus Kusosinski, who won the gold medal in 10,000 meters in the Los Angeles 1932 Olympics.
This is the 71st edition of this meat. Janus Kusosinski Memorial is one of the longest-lasting annual athletics meats in Europe and has been given the status of silver-level meat in the World Athletics Continental Tour.
