Sarvin Sebastian Created the fastest record
While performing the fastest performance, Servin Sebstian (Services) completed the race in 1 hour 21 minutes 23 seconds and made a record of the new national game. Apart from this, Suraj Panwar (Uttarakhand), Amanjot Singh (Punjab), Paramjit Singh (Services), Ram Babu (Uttar Pradesh) and Mukesh Nitharwal (Rajasthan) also took a better time than Gurmeet Singh’s 2011 record.
The breakdown of this record of this record by six runners together for 14 years has brought new energy to Indian athletics. This achievement not only reflects the fitness and technical improvement of athletes. Rather, it also indicates the increasing stature of Indian competitors internationally.
New record in women’s 10 km race walk
The record of national games was broken in men as well as women’s 10 km race walk. The 51:56 records made by Y Bala Devi of Manipur in 2023 were broken by nine athletes, and Haryana’s Raveena won the gold medal with a new record of 45 minutes 52 seconds.
