Mustafizur Rahman is currently on a UAE tour with Bangladesh team. He will come to India after playing the first T20 on 17 May.
Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has cleared the way for playing IPL. The 29 -year -old fast bowler has received a no objection certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board. BCB issued a statement on Friday stating that Rahman will be available to play IPL between 18 and 24 May.
According to this, Rahman will play the first T20 match against UAE on 17 May. Will then leave for India. Where from 18 to 24 May, Delhi will take part in the remaining league matches, although they will return before the playoff starts.
Rahman was associated with Delhi Capitals for Rs 6 crore. They will replace the Australian Pesar Mitchell Starc. Stark has decided not to play the remaining IPL matches from Delhi. He is preparing for the final of the World Test Championship. The remaining matches of IPL 2025 start from 17 May. These were stopped amidst India-Pakistan tension.
Mustafizur has played for DC in 2022 and 2023 seasons.
BCB’s CEO said- we did not ask for NOC Delhi had linked Rahman with him for Rs 6 crore. After this, CEO Nizamuddin Chaudhary of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had said- “So far the player and BCCI from BCB have not sought NOC for this agreement.”
He had said- ‘Mustafizur has to go to UAE with the team. We have not received any message from IPL officers. I have not received any such official message from Mustafizur. In such a situation, Rahman was suspected to play in the IPL.
IPL schedule clashed with Bangladesh’s UAE tour The remaining IPL match schedule and Bangladesh’s UAE tour is being clashed. The remaining matches of the IPL are starting from May 17, while Bangladesh is to play two T20 matches in UAE on 17 and 19 May. Then the team has to play 5 matches from Pakistan on 25, 27 and 30 May, 1 and 3 June. Mustafizur has also left for UAE along with the team.

To take 61 wickets in IPL Mustafizur has played for 4 IPL teams. He was part of the Chennai Super Kings in 2024. Apart from this, Mustafizur has played for Mumbai, Delhi and Rajasthan. He has taken 61 wickets in a total of 57 IPL matches. DC has included them in Rs 6 crore this season.
