India’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has been fined 15 percent of the match fees. Apart from match fees, he has also been given a demerit point.

What the Code of Conduct’s law says According to the ICC Code of Conduct, a violation of Level-1 and Level-2 costs minus 50 per cent match fees with 1 to 2 demerit points. Violation of Level-3 gives 6 Tests and 12 ODI suspension.
Siraj has been fined 1 demerit point. At the same time, if a player collects four or more demerit points in 24 months, they turn into suspension points, after which the player may be banned by one Test or two ODIs or two T20 matches. The demerit points remain in records for 24 months, after which they are removed.
