During the practice, Morris felt stretch in his back, due to which he would not be able to return to international cricket at the moment. Morris has returned to Perth for treatment. He is also finding it difficult to play a 4-day unofficial Test against India-A next month due to injury.

Matthew Short has not yet emerged from the stretch during the series in the West Indies. Due to this injury, he was out of the T20 series against South Africa and could not be a part of the ODI series. In the same year, during the Champions Trophy, he suffered a leg injury, after which he has been continuously injured.
