1. Former Supreme Court judge Madan Lokur appointed chairman of ‘UN International Justice Council’
The United Nations (UN) on December 21, former Supreme Court judge Justice Madan B. Lokur has been appointed chairman of the Internal Justice Council (IJC). The UN Assembly established the Internal Justice Council (IJC) to ensure independence, professionalism and accountability in the administration of the United Nations justice system.
Lokur has been appointed president of IJC for a term of four years. His tenure will end on November 12, 2028.
2. Kejriwal launched ‘Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme’
Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal announced the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Scheme on 21 December. Under this scheme, the Delhi government will bear the expenses of the child from a Dalit family’s education and travel to a foreign university.
Arvind Kejriwal said, ‘No child of Dalit community should be deprived of getting higher education due to lack of money. I announce Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship.

Educational Qualification:
As per post 10th/ 10th pass with Driving License/ 10+ITI/ 12th, Graduation/ Diploma in Engineering or Material Management.
Age Limit :
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 25/27 years as per post
- Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per rules.
- Age will be calculated keeping in mind 22 December 2024.
Salary:
Rs 18000-92300 per month
Selection Process:
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of written exam.

1. 16 year old student taking JEE coaching commits suicide
Nilesh Singh’s eyes fill with tears as soon as he says this. Nilesh is the father of 16-year-old Mayank Singh, who is preparing for JEE in Kota. Mayank had committed suicide in the hostel room on Friday. There was a hanging device in the room, but he committed suicide by hanging himself from a pole.
Mayank was a resident of village Mannar Bhikampura Bhatoli in Vaishali (Bihar) district. Mayank, a class 11 student, lived in Welcome Prime Hostel located on Road No. 5 in Vigyan Nagar area of Kota. On Saturday, his father Nilesh Singh and other family members had reached Kota. The police conducted postmortem and handed over the body.
2. The practical exam of UP Board Intermediate 2025 will be held in two phases.
UP Board has released the schedule of practical exams for Intermediate 2025. These exams will be conducted in two phases. The first phase will be from 23 January 2025 to 31 January 2025. In this, there will be practicals for students from Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Devipayan and Basti mandals. Whereas, the second phase will be from 1 February 2025 to 8 February 2025 in which practical exams will be held in Aligarh, Meerut, Moradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur divisions.
3. Court’s decision in favor of students in the matter of bringing non-ved food in lunch.
Allahabad High Court has ruled in favor of the students in the matter of bringing non-veg in the school lunch box. In fact, a school principal of Amroha had expelled three minor children from the school for bringing non-veg in tiffin. The children’s mother reached court against the school. On this, now Allahabad High Court has ordered the District Magistrate of Amroha to get the children admitted in some other school of CBSE board within two weeks.
