KL Rahul played his last ODI match on 4 August 2024.
Indian batsman KL Rahul will be rested from the eight-match white-ball series against England at home, which includes five T20s and three ODIs. This series will start with the first T20 match in Kolkata on 22 January.
According to Times of India, middle-order batsman and wicketkeeper KL Rahul has been assured by the selection committee that he will be selected in the team for the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan and UAE in February. An official said that Rahul’s place in the Champions Trophy is confirmed. That is why he has been rested from the England series.
However, Rahul has not been a part of India’s T20 team recently. He played his last T20 in 2022, but he has been India’s No. 1 wicketkeeper batsman in ODIs, where he has consistently scored runs in the middle order.
Rahul played in all the matches of Border-Gavaskar In the Border-Gavaskar series held in Australia, KL Rahul was included in the playing eleven of all five Test matches. Rahul had scored 276 runs at an average of 30.66. Which includes 2 half-centuries.
Karnataka remained out of the team even from Vijay Hazare Trophy Rahul also decided to stay out of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Karnataka team will play the quarter final match against Vadodara on 11 January. Rahul will not play in this. At the same time, even if the Karnataka team progresses by winning the quarter-finals, they will not take part in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
