Indian batsman KL Rahul has said 2 days before the Adelaide Test that I can bat at any position. On Wednesday, Rahul was asked about his favorite batting position. He spoke to the media after practice at the Oval ground.
When 32-year-old KL Rahul was asked in which batting position he is comfortable, he said – ‘Anywhere… I have said earlier also that I just want to be in the playing-11. You can fit me anywhere in the team. I just want to play for the team.
Have you been informed about your batting position…? In response to this question, Rahul said smilingly – Yes, but it has also been said that I should not share it with you people.
Speaking further, KL Rahul said-
I have overcome the mental challenge of changing the batting order. I have batted at many positions. Earlier it was a bit challenging, not just technically, but also mentally. Changing the batting order made me think about how to play the first 20-25 balls. How quickly can I become aggressive? How careful do I need to be? These were things that were difficult in the beginning.
Understand the whole matter in question and answer…
Why questions on Rahul’s batting position? Rahul had opened in the absence of Rohit in the Perth Test. He scored 26 runs off 74 balls in the first innings and 77 runs off 176 balls in the second innings. He made a record opening partnership of 201 runs with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the second innings.
Now captain Rohit Sharma has joined the team. With his arrival, questions are being raised as to who will open with Yashasvi? KL Rahul or regular opener Rohit Sharma. This question is also arising because Rohit Sharma has not been able to score fifty in the last 5 innings. He could score 39 runs.
Experts said- Rahul should open After the Perth Test, many cricket experts are giving their opinions on India’s batting order. Meanwhile, experienced batsman Cheteshwar Pujara had said that Rohit should open with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Also, KL Rahul should be sent at number-3.
He has advised to field Kohli at number-4 and Shubman Gill at number-5. At the same time, some experts say that captain Rohit Sharma should bat in the middle order.
Who is better in statistics…?
