Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (May 4) launched the Khelo India Youth Games-2025 through video conferencing. During this, he also released a video message. In this, he praised cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi.

The PM said, ‘We all have seen the great performance of Bihar’s son Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the IPL. Vaibhav has made such a big record at such a young age.
‘His hard work is behind his game, but playing matches at different levels has also helped him.
In his virtual address for ‘Khelo India Games’ being held in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said,
Many competitions will be organized in different cities of Bihar during Khelo India Youth Games. Sports in India are now making a mark as a culture. The more this game culture increases, the more the soft power of India will increase.
For the first time in Bihar, ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2025’ was inaugurated on Sunday (May 4). Chief Minister Nitish Kumar started it by lighting a torch at Patna’s Pataliputra Sports Complex. During this, both Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha, Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandavia were also present.

Khelo India Games started for the first time in Bihar with the torch burning. The games will run till 15 May.
Deputy CM said- Nitish makes Bihar prosperous
Deputy CM Emperor Chaudhary praised Nitish Kumar. Also asked the people present there to clap for the Chief Minister.

It is the Chief Minister’s thinking that you are watching this Khelo India program in Bihar today. Bihar was first considered a backward state. There was no spirit of sports here, but the Chief Minister has worked to make backward Bihar a rich state by creating 7 thousand grounds in the field of sports.
During this, he also praised cricketer Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The emperor said, “Like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, other players of Bihar should prepare themselves like this and illuminate the name of Bihar.”
Before the start of Khelo Dandia Youth Games, CM Nitish and both deputy CMs greeted the people.
8500 players from 28 states will participate
‘Khelo India Youth Games-2025’ will be held from 4 May to 15 May. It is being organized in 5 districts of the state. This includes Patna, Bhagalpur, Gaya, Begusarai and Rajgir.
The Mahakumbh ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2025’, which started today, will take part in 28 states and 8 union territories for 28 sports in the ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2025’. All the players will show their stamina in the field for a total of 2,435 medals.
At the same time, apart from the players, 1500 trainers and technical officers are joining. The event will be held till 15 May. Three of the 28 games- shooting, track cycling and gymnastics will be in Delhi.
Children present on Bihar government schemes
Children from various schools performed on the Bar Act, Sports Act and Planning Act. Under the Bar Act, the saga of the brave son of Bihar was shown in providing independence to the children India.
At the same time, in the Sports Act, children were tried to show how the players of Bihar keep passion towards the game. How Bihar is growing on the path of progress in the field of sports. What was the position of the first game and now what is the situation. Along with this, a presentation was given in the Plan Act giving information about all the schemes being run by the Bihar government.

Two world records made before inauguration
Today’s opening ceremony displayed the world’s largest Madhubani painting. This Madhubani painting has recorded its name in the Guinness World Record. 50 artists from Mithila painting institute, Saurath, Madhubani have prepared this painting by working for 50 consecutive hours. This painting 18 fit long and wide was made of natural colors. It was prepared under the supervision of Padmashree Baua Devi.
At the same time, the second record was built in the Mahabodhi temple where the world’s largest singing bowl group was formed by 375 monks between the ages of 5 to 70 years. The singing ball performed simultaneously and music by 375 Bal Lamas in Bodh Gaya. So far there is a world record of presentation by 100 Bal Lamas. The certificate of both these Guinness World Records was handed over to the Chief Minister.
Central Command and Control Center created
A Central Command and Control Center has been set up at Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna to organize smoothly at all places of this National Sports event. The center will work 24 hours till May 17 and all the things including the nodal officer, state lioning officer, volunteer, media, electricity, transport, medicine, housing, food, will be monitored here.
From the Sports Authority of India to the officials of Sports Department and other departments will be available here for any information and need. For the players of all the states, the co-ordinator of the concerned state will be. Here is the ACT section that will ensure the system of players’ stay, food and transportation.
Preparation for sports in other districts
- Went- Hostels have been renewed in IIM Bodh Gaya. The swimming bridge in the Bipard, Gaya campus has a technical upgrade for better facilities.
- Rajgir- Five games will be organized at Rajgir Sports Complex. For this, the construction and sports structures of Indoor Hall No. 2, Basketball Court, Handball Court, Volleyball Court and Hockey Practice Turf have been upgraded.
- Begusarai- Meeting gallery was repaired and dyed at the Begusarai sports complex. Facilities such as cleaning and dyeing of boundary walls, cleaning of portable toilet cabin have been developed.
- Bhagalpur- The renewal of badminton court at Sandis Compound in Bhagalpur, AC etc. in badminton court has been completed. Apart from this, the construction of the toilet campus and electric facilities has been completed.
