Joffra Archer was engaged while playing IPL.
England fast bowler Jofra Archer is out of the ODI series against the West Indies. He was engaged while playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL, he suffered a straight -handed thumb injury. Due to which he could not recover till now and was out of the international series.
Archer was selected in the England team for the ODI series against the West Indies. The series will start from May 29. Luke Wood has got a place in the squad instead of Archer. ECB also announced the England Lions team for the Test series against India-A.
Was engaged on 4 May RR’s fast bowler Archer was engaged during the match against Kolkata on 4 May. He hurt the thumb directly. The IPL was stopped for 8 days after tension between India and Pakistan. The tournament started again from May 17, but Archer did not return from Rajasthan to play.
Along with Archer, England’s Sam Karan and Jamie Overton also did not come to India for IPL. Archer took 11 wickets in 12 league matches for Rajasthan. However, his team could win only 4 out of 14 matches and remained at number-9 with 8 points.

Archer’s name is not in T20 team Jofra Archer was selected in the team for the ODI series against the West Indies. Keeping fitness in mind, he was kept out of the T20 team, but now he will not be able to play ODI series due to injury. Archer played T20 International for the last time in India this year.
The England Cricket Board (ECB) said that Archer is undergoing medical examination. If they stay fit, they will be able to be part of the team in the upcoming series. 3 ODIs between West Indies and England will be played on 29 May, 1 June and 3 June. The T20 series will also start between the two teams again from June 6. England will again play 5 Tests against India from 20 June.
Jofra has been consistently battling Inzari since Archer debut.
England Lions Team Anounce ECB has announced the England Lions team for 2 unofficial Tests against India-A. Chris Wax was also placed in the squad. James Royu was handed over the captaincy of the team. Rehan Ahmed was selected in the first match team. Jordan will be part of the cox team in the second Test. The series between the two teams will begin from May 30.
