Jofra Archer has returned to the England team for the third Test against India. Archer is going to play Test matches after 4 years and 4 months and 15 days. He was included in playing-11 for the third Test against India by England.
Archer played the last match against India in 2021 Ahmedabad. Archer has been included in the team instead of Josh Tong. Tung had taken the highest number of 11 wickets in this series so far. Lord’s Test is to be played from tomorrow.
ECB said in a statement on Wednesday-
Sussex’s fast bowler Joffra Archer will replace Josh Tong of Nottinghamshire. This will be Jofra’s first Test match after February-2021. He is going to play the 14th Test match in his career.
