- Jasprit Bumrah has taken 200 wickets giving 3912 runs in Tests. So far, 85 bowlers have taken 200+ wickets in Tests, in which Bumrah’s name is at the top. The previous lowest number of runs conceded by a bowler at the time of his 200th Test wicket was 4067 runs by West Indies’ Joel Garner. Among Indians, this record was earlier in the name of Ravindra Jadeja, who took 200 wickets for 4840 runs.
- Bumrah has so far taken 23 wickets in the 3 Tests played in Melbourne, which is the most wickets taken by an Indian bowler on a foreign ground. The previous maximum of 20 wickets was in the name of Anil Kumble, who took it at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
- There have been tenth wicket partnerships of more than 100 balls against India twice in Tests since the start of 2015. Both these partnerships have come in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. 3. Fastest bowlers to take 200 wickets in Test (ball wise) Bumrah is the fourth fast bowler to take 200 wickets in Tests according to the ball. He took 200 wickets on 8484 balls. Bumrah made this record by dismissing Travis Head in the 34th over of the Australian second innings.
4. India’s highest run chase in Test India has chased the best score of 403 runs in Tests so far. The team had achieved this score against West Indies in 1976. Australia has so far scored 333* runs on the fourth day of the Melbourne Test.
