Former Indian team all -rounder Irfan Pathan said on the strength of his bowling that my role was changed, my bowling strength never diminished. Pathan had a virtual conversation with the media during Sony Sports’ media-day before the Asia Cup on Tuesday.
During this, Pathan openly responded to questions arising about his bowling career and role. On the question of Dainik Bhaskar, he said, “My strength has never diminished.” My role was changed, that is, I started being given an old ball. From 2003-04 to 2006, I bowled with the new ball. After that I did not get new balls continuously since 2007.
He further said, like Virat Kohli bats at number three, if he is sent to number seven, his capacity will not be reduced, but his role will change and the figures will also change with it. The same applies in bowling.
Pathan said, today I am 41 years old. Even though my speed is not as good, but my ball still swing.

International match was played in 2012 Irfan Pathan played the last international match (ODI) in 2012, in which he also took five wickets. He made an international debut in the Test against Australia in 2003. Irfan harassed many legendary batsmen in the early stages of his pace and swing. He became India’s first fast bowler to take a hat -trick in Tests. However, after the 2007 T20 World Cup, Irfan was rarely seen in Indian cricket.
Workload should not be discussed during the series Pathan said, ‘Jaspreet Bumrah is a treasure for the Indian team. It is very important to take care of them correctly, but as soon as a series starts, the workload management should not be discussed during that time.
He further said, ‘Pat Cummins has already started managing his workload. He will not take part in some series before the Ashes. But as soon as the Ashes starts, then the question will be whether Cummins will still manage his workload or put full force to win the series.
